Please send ONLY ONE COPY of each required transcript to the Aero Astro Department, ONLY once you are admitted and are asked to do.The AeroAstro graduate program offers myriad opportunities for research, for collaboration, for deep study, and, yes, for fun. You'll be privileged to work with some of the brightest and most motivated colleagues in academia and industry. You'll have the opportunity to work in one of the research laboratories affiliated with the AeroAstro program, or you may choose to explore the laboratories.Keep in mind that MIT does not use the Common Application, and instead uses its own system called MyMIT. To those seeking admission, MIT requires students to complete 5 additional essays, all of which understandably appear intimidating to approach. MIT strives to offer competitive stipend rates. Stipend rates are extensively reviewed and revised each year by the Office of the Provost. Set rates vary by field of study, length of degree time, degree type, and teaching appointment status. These rates can only serve as a guideline to what a department may offer when providing a funding package.
